Must have not been hooked up since I swapped out motors over a year ago. Never had any check engine lights or anything weird happening, but I hooked i up anyways. I'm just wondering what it was for now.
It was 2 black small gauge wires (14 gauge estimate) that come out of the wire that runs to the red jump box. The ground location is meant to be with or around the main ground coming from the negative battery post to the block. I traced where the wires went the best I could and went up somewhere near the starter/oil level sensor/crank sensor, but couldn't really tell where it went because it was all wrapped up.
Any ideas? I had no check engine light or anything on for over a year with this disconnected.

no freaking way you had those loose too! My wife come running out of the house the other day and said hey you go wires hanging down. It was a small ground wire comming from the little box on the neg. battery cable so i grounded it. I never had any problems or anything but that is weird!
