Cool Forged 6.0 or Turbo the 4.8 Need Advice!

I currently have a 2008 silverado with a 4.8 with the following:
TR224 cam
Comp 918 springs
Hardened push rods
Long tube headers
Intake
Built 4l60e with a Circle-D 3600 Stall
4.10's

I need some advice on what I should do from here. I have planned for a built engine and then sold that stuff for a turbo kit and just never had time to move foward and sold all of that stuff. I finally have time and just got a garage so I can actually finish the project now but this is where I need some help from people that have been here before and what they have learned. I like the built short blocks over at thompson motorsports as I think if I went that route I can build a stout set up with future plans to boost or spray that. I can spend around 3k right now so I figured that would be the best route for me because I can get the short block and use my 243 heads and stuff I have now and would sell my shortblock with the cam and stuff to get a new cam and springs. I know I would have to get lifters and gaskets and stuff for the shortblock and would prob get some head studs and have it built right the first time. Anyone have any advice on these plans? Thanks in advanced

Alot depends on what your long term goals are, i just spent aot of money on a fully built forged set up and honestly if i was to do it again i would just get a good turbo kit and arp what u can and find a really good tuner and ur gonna have a dam good set up.

I wont spend any money right now if you are thinking about a swap but if you are going to boost then its another story.
I also have a 2008 Silverado, 220 cam, behive springs, longtube headers,12# procharger and 373 eaton style rear. just finish about 1month ago and let me tell you the power is great. It was HP tuned and is making 457 RWHP with 380TQ @ 6200rpm. the tuner said he can go more aggressive but he said the tranny wont hold. Going to redo the tranny, put a shift kit and corvette servo and see what can it do. So far loving it.

Yea I just know turbo stuff adds up real fast where I can get a short block for a pretty good price and it would be a little more straight forward build for now. I have a dd and my truck is garaged so I can work on it at my own pace.
