I ordered all my cam swap stuff a while back.. But me being the retard that I am didnt check to make sure the parts I got were the ones I ordered. I was messing around with one of the valve springs earlier and it hit me...... This spring does not have the little stripe on it that is indicative of LS6 springs. I got to looking at the order form I got from GMPD and the part #'s do not match!! Does GM have some new part #'s that supercede some of the numbers I ordered?

Front main seal - Ordered 12561244, Received 12585673
02 LS6 springs - Ordered 12565313, Received 12586484
LS6 oil pump - Ordered 12563964, Received 12586665

Any GM parts gurus have any insight on this at 11:00 at night?

I assumed mine were right ... I hope they are .. otherwise that might be a problem with the springs.

 

The numbers they sent you are new numbers. You're good to go.

Good deal! I just wanted to make sure. Figured Id ask you guys before I resorted to calling them. I kinda wondered if they were superceded with these new numbers. Thanks Flatop! I looked at my springs a little harder and they have a very faint orange mark on each one of them. Kinda hard to see.
