Default 22" to 16" swap

After taking off my 305/40 22's and mounting some GMC 16" 265/70 rims and tires, how much time you think I can shave off the 1/4. How much improvement in the 60'? Worth the trouble? My goal is mid 13's with a 03Yukon Denali, Radix with about 10lbs boost (no boost gage), exhaust, intake, tune, and stock everything else.

You should be their. Those 22's are heavy as hell and the 16's will give you better traction and remove alot of weight.

Depends on the weight total on each corner. Average 22" truck combo will weigh at least 85lbs. KNock that down to 60 and youll certainly shed the et.

Todd, are you still in Scottsdale? I'm in Chandler, do you do anything but tires and wheels?

I think I talk to you every once in awhile when my shop buys tires Todd. LOL

Anyway, yeah shedding that extra 25+lbs per corner will help out a ton. That's about 100lbs of mass but since it is rotational mass you can easily quadruple that and it is in effect like loosing 400+lbs of weight off the truck. I know the standard is 1lb rotating = 8lbs static but it's just hard to believe. lol

Not hard to believe, I gained 8rwhp going from 17x11 315 nitto drags to 17x9 275 nittos on a back to back run.

However, my 60 ft was so much better..in this case the extra weight was ok
