Default Fluids?

On the same note as O3GMC's post about fluids, but I didn't want to hi-jack his thread.....

My truck has 51k miles on it, I have not changed the rear end, transfer case or transmission fluids.

Is it time to change these? Also, what brand do you guys run in your trucks?

Any tips/tricks when doing the fluid swaps also ...

Thanks alot.

As far as recomendations go.Tranny is recomended at 50k in manual, also auto trak t cases are recomended at 50 k also.Make sure yu use gm autotrak fluid you will need 2qt's at 7 dollars a qtThe rear and front diff, are check and fill as needed.I only have 20 k on mine and have changed rear diff 2 times allrdy. If yu have the g80 unit i would change it just use any good full syn 75-90gl5 and yu will be good to go. Front diff fluid is normal 80-90 gl5,its your call if yu want to switch it to synthetic or not.
