Talking flex a lite vsc's. there are two.

ok im not sure if this is the place for this thread and i know there are others that have talked about them.i thought most knew there were two vsc controllers.
one is the --31165--25 amp controller.
the other ---33054--40 amp controller.
i have gotten in the dc controller now and i will be wiring it up this weekend. but i wanted --in case you didnt know--about both flex a lite controllers. i will keep all updated to my progress with the other controller. hopefully we can find something more reliable.

Me and Chingon just recently both did efans and I think we got one of each model. Mine being the older one. The differences were there was one less LED indicator and 2 less cooling fins. Also Chingys kit came with a nice fat 40 amp fuse where mine had a baby little girly fuse (which I replaced with a bigger one).

We'll see which lasts... I know I have used all my features but Chingon isnt sure if his is goin 60% and 100%.

they do not send the 40 amp ones with the fans or if you just order them. you have to specify that you want the 33054. there are the old style and new style 31165's.the 40 amp ones look identical to the 31165. new style
oh yay at flex the are going to ask 95.00. summit has them for 80.00

Hey I have a question, I have some LS1's on the way and am planning on making my own harness, has anyone tried to use the PCM to turn them on? Will it work with my stock PCM? I don't know if it's set to the right temp or what. Anyone know?

yes you can use the pcm to turn them on and off. but you have to get someone to do it for you with edit or do it yourself with edit. if you get a custom tune you can have then turn on this feature

Well I already have all the stuff to do it. I don't mind buying one, but I doubt it'll be cheaper than what I can do it for. That and I'll be doing a right up on it as well. Think polished aluminum.

Holy chit, $50 for a fancier relay and some wires? No thanks, I'll just rig my own for $10.
