The only thing I removed was the tailgate and a semi-stopped up air filter. A lcean air filter might have given me a little better launch since it may have been pulling to much air down low.
I do have what you would call a weight issue behind my seat. There's about a third of a sheet of 3/4" MDF with a Kicker 600.1 amp, 2 Kicker Comp VR's, a 1 farad cap, and a pair of Kicker grilles. The box is so wedged in there, I don't think it's possible to get it out without removing the seats, which isn't possible without picking the box up so you can scoot the seat back enough to get to the front bolts. The box loaded down should be worth around 125-150 pounds.
Shifting .. I shift manually, I can notice what feels like an improvement if I do that. I try and shift at 5500 which usually shifts at about 5700 by the time everything realizes I moved the shifter up. I only hit the rev limiter once.
Thanks for the input .. what gets me, it a spot marked off on the street, measured with the GPS, I can hit about 94-95 fairly consistantly, but I couldn't get it passed 91. I may make another attempt just to see if it was a fluke or bad night or something.
