Default First trip to the track ...

First run ...
60ft was 2.334
8th was 9.882 @ 72.77
1/4 was 15.196 @ 91.05

I let off a tad early, before the trap. Dunno what I was thinking ..

Last run felt the best, but the trap sensors were messed up so I only got up to 1/8 mile times which were 9.861 @ 73.5. Would anyone like to take a guess what the 1/4 times should have been? Otherwise my best 1/4 times were 15.14 @ 91.86 with a 9.838 @ 72.87 1/8 mile time.

Just thought I'd share with ya'll. After the first run I cam eback with a grin from ear to ear. That was the **** .. I'll be there more often now! Next time will be with the TT3000 in though.

What is the elevation in your area? Those times you ran seem to be a little off.

I was a little disappointed too. I was expecting something just under 15. I am close to see level, GPS says about 250ft. It was a little humid out, like around 85% I believe. The temperature wwas about 73*. Maybe that had something to do with it???

Well all I can tell you is what my truck ran. I made 5 passes and they went as follows: 15.12@90.87 (9.779 in the 1/8), 15.006@91.24 (9.681 in the 1/8), 15.167@91.73 (9.85 in the 1/8), 15.17@91.53 (9.843 in the 1/8), and finally it went 14.987@91.33 (9.653 in the 1/8). So I'd say your 9.86 1/8 was probrobally like no better than a 15.1. Everybody's truck pulls different and its hard to compare one truck to another when they both have different mods, but all in all I'd say they were nice times. I can also tell you this, my best time came after I let the truck cool down for about an hour and a half instead of just running it through lap after lap. I don't know if you plan on getting LS1edit or what, but I got 5 tenths out of my HPPIII. Glad you had fun!

As soon as it works in the 03 trucks, I'm ordering EDIT. Right now, nothing has been done to the computer. At that time, I'll more than likely conisder putting the blower on too. I would really rather wait til I get a tranny worth a damn before the blower goes on though. We will just have to see what I can muster up though.

Something else worth mentiong, the truck only has about 6k miles on it. On the black truck, even with the HPP3 on it, I noticed a difference at 10k miles, and a more notable difference at 15k.

It doesn't work without the stand alone cable though. That's what I'm waiting on.

You've got 14's in that truck as is with cooler weather, no doubt about it. I'm not sure how you like to prep for the track, but here are some of the things I do to get the most out of a stock truck.

Strip as much weight as possible. I remove the tailgate, 3pt hitch, spare, front sway bar (helps traction too), jack, and misc interior stuff. That 200 lbs is worth 2 tenths in the 1/4.
I let it auto shift 1-2, then manually hold out 2nd gear till around 5500 to 5700 rpms since I don't have a programmer to adjust shift points yet. That was good for a 1 tenth and 2 mph improvement for me.

You may already be doing those things, but just in case your not that's what I do to hit 14's. Man, you are going to have a pavement shredder soon!
