Default finishing cam swap, mystery o-ring

I just finished putting in a Vinci #112 cam and beehive springs...long story short, I followed the LS1 cam swap instructions and last night I was putting the water pump, and radiator back in. A little dexron dribbled out of the passenger side hose connection while I was setting the radiator in place, in the puddle was a black o-ring about the size of a quarter. Does anybody know where on earth this could have come from? I have the towing package, but is there another cooler inside the radiator on the left side where those two lines hook up. When I was hooking up all the little hoses whatever the metal object inside the radiator with the two aluminum connections dropped down, I had to fish it back up through the bottom radiator hole, I'm wondering if the o-ring was on the inside flange where the aluminum threaded connection accepts the hose line that I think was filled with reddish oil, so I'm assuming it's transmittion fluid. I just don't want to screw anything up so I need to know where this o-ring came from. Any ideas if it could have fallen off inside the radiator and run out the bottom? If so how the hell do I get it back in? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you have the oil pump off? Otherwise post a pic of the o-ring next to a quarter so we can get an idea of the scale or size of it.

Its probly what you said the trans cooler seal from inside the tank. why did you unscrew the nuts on it to undo the trans lines?

I had a little more time to look at it, you're right, I messed up and unscrewed the lines instead of unclipping them at the aluminum bolt. First time to do this. Anyways I had a radiator shop pull it apart and re-install the oil cooler and replace the o-rings. Just a $40 mistake on my part. Hopefully I'll have the time to get it running tomorrow after work. Thanks
