Default finally spun the crank

i went to the track last night will all 15 or so lbs of boost. hit the rev limiter on a few runs, spun BAD off the line in 4wd, but still managed a new best of 13.066. Anyway, the last run of the night was the fastest but i let off the gas before finishing the run because i heard 2 bad noises. One was my boost line that came flying off under the dash. No big deal. The other was the crank spinning inside the harmonic balancer. YIKES!!! that **** is loud.
anyway, i ordered the magnuson pinning kit and they are overnighting it to me. i'll try again on sunday to hit 12.xx

He didnt spin a bearing he spun the main drive pulley on the crank so he has to pin it cause of all the boost he is pushing and the amount of power that it takes to spin the whipple. This is where you start thinking of upgrading to a turbo cause it is taking SO much power to spin the blower

DenaliHD your truck is moving out man.

The gen 3 small blocks aren't keyed? Damn, I figured they would have done that from the factory like all previous small blocks.

no, the pinning kit is way under $100. just call magnuson. I had a slow coolant leak too that i couldn't find. Found it this morning. It was coming from the top driver's side of the radiator. Ya know, that big *** hose. It was almost off. oops again. I put it back on, all is well.

now where's that damn ups truck? let's see what brown can do for me.
