Finally got a cam

The retainers will keep weight down which really helps in the very high rpms. Pushrods are not required, but would be good to install at the same time. I'm running pushrods and tit retainers with my 918s now, but I got them as a package.
It will run fine with tuning on the stock converter. It just won't have that same low end grunt the stock cam has. You'll notice it cruising down the freeway in overdrive with rpms below 2000. When you want to slowly speed up, it will be more of a struggle since the cam isn't in its operating range. On the other hand, after 3000 rpms, that baby is going to sing. Dont worry about it, you'll get used to it.

BTW Richard, I will be making my way back down to Texas next summer to visit my friend again. We'll have to have another hooters meet up. This time with more notice ahead of time to hopefully get a better turnout.

So no more mods, or what?

You guys are getting to know me well.
I change my mind constantly.
I'll never stop modding. Heads and valvetrain are next. FO' SHO'.
I'm concerned with the reliability with my converter (the 2600 sitting in the corner for the last year now). I know two guys up here in the northeast that lost their lockup clutches in the same converter in similar trucks. I'm looking for a better replacement, but it's definitely not a priority - I honestly don't expect to have one anytime soon. With the way I get around to things, that means you can expect me to be on the stock converter for a year or more.
The cam - I don't forsee any reason to change anything, besides to maybe upgrade to the .550 lift version. I just don't think that's too cost effective.
Okay, enough about me and my mind-changin'.
This is a cam-thread guys. Lets keep it on topic.

Shiiit, you 2 answered Andy's question pretty good, but he can always reclaim his thread.
Any details? I wanna here now, so I know to laugh when I hear the new details in a week.
-don't worry i change my mind just as much.

He got me too. I was about to point fingers at our moderator for starting it.
Thanks though... With the rockers you get PR's, guide plates, and studs.
The heads will be coming with dual springs good for .650 - I don't know what brand they are (AFR?). I'm already considering pulling them for the proven VHP/Crane duals - but I don't know, I haven't really looked into it. The install will take place this spring.

AFR 205's. 66cc. I'm "this" close to pushing the button on them. I need someone to walk by and bump my elbow. VT upgrades will be the VHP rocker kit.
