Default fbody headers on 1500 NBS

hey guys as some of you know i said i was going to use Fbody headers well guess what? today well getting ready to remove the 5.3 i tried them out. to let you know first off they are Mac 1 3/4 mid lenghts designed for a Fbody. they came with a Y pipe but i havent tried that yet to see how i need to modify it. the driver side fit with no issues at all. passenger side i had to tweak alittle bit in the vise to egg the two lower tubes and bring them closer together. by doing this it brought it away from the frame and the starter.

Looks tight. Anything going to get to hot the way they sit.

How's the Y pipe look? How about a price comparo between the macs and purpose built mid lenght truck header?

in a few pics they look like they are actually rubbing against ****. this wont effect anything when you start your truck, give it the WOT treatment, etc?

If they rub or are close enough, when the engine torques, they will bang and cause KR readings.

Hate to burst your bubleb but my dynatechs are further away than that and when I hit a decent bump in the road it knocks and I also agree with Flyer.
