Hey Greg, did you ever get that higher amp alternator? I think its time for an upgrade, mine is starting to act up. Do you remember that website that has them for our trucks? Thanks for any help.

It was Mr. Alternator There may be others, but this guy answered my questions for me and he was much cheaper than the big brand names. But no, I never got one.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you know of any problems I might have running my smaller alt. pulley on the higher amp unit? I think that is what lead to the short life of my stocker.

I would leave the stock size pulley on it with a higher amp alt. The alt pulley is only good for 1-2 rw anyway. The main reason they even sell them is to help on the charging at idle. One of your questions to ask Mr. Alternator may be what is the output at idle rpms on your truck and tell him about the underdive pulley.
