Default Thinking About Selling The 6.0L......

Guys we've been kicking around the idea of selling the 6.0L out of the Silverado for a few weeks now. Here's what all it has on it

6.0L
918 Comp Springs
Comp 220 200 112 cam
Escalade Pistons @ 10:1 Compression

The motor has about 5000 miles on it now.. What do you guys think I should ask for it? I was thinking around $2600 without a core motor... Opinions???

Thanks

(shaking head) Damn, you're more indecisive than a woman! Something is in the works if you're looking to sell the 6.0L. How many additional cubes is it? I think $2,600 is a damn good price!

i paid $1500 delivered for a stock 02. it only had 4000miles but had been opened up to put a new rod in. the guy paid something like $250 to get it to me so he only got $1250 for it.

if you are in a hurry $2600 might be a little high, i can't believe more people out there aren't gobbleing up the 6.0 but they aren't. they seem to be easy to find and prety cheap.

Its not exactly a stocker 6.0L though. Every wear part in the engine was replaced. New Escalade Hypereutectic pistons with full-floating piston pins, N20 gapped rings. Race main and rod bearings. Stock 6.0L has cast aluminum dished pistons. This would also be a perfect engine in a F-body too Not to mention the fastest all-motor truck on this site!

is that $2600 a longblock or just the shorty?

Seems fair for only 5K miles, because not everyone has a hookup on engines and parts.

But, some of us do

Yea $2600 will get us a new forged crankshaft! We sure do need to build up a "slightly" bigger combo as soon as we get the transmission built up.
