Fast 99 5.3!
#1
My friend and i went to Ennis this weekend and he ran a 13.48@106 mph! it is a 99 std cab 5.3 with all the boltons and a 150 shot. he also was running on street tires so that didnt help. does that sound about right for what he has done. the LS6 cam he is going to get will help a lot for top end.

Thats pretty good. I ran a 13.33 in an ext.cab 2000 with a 125 shot dry. I had the bolt ons and ET streets. On street tires, the best i got was 13.47. I had pulleys, exhaust cutout, programmer, thermostat (160), 3.42 K&N FIPK, and NGK tr55's, and electric fans, oh and gibson headers

Sounds about right for a 99'.
I ran a 13.147 @ 105.49 with most bolt-ons and 130 HP of N2O. This pass was at Carlsbad Raceway on factory General tires and nitrous activation just before the 60ft and off between gears.
Mods at that time: 130HP N20, CAI, ASM headers, cutouts, HPPIII and electric fans.
99' OEM cams are less than to be desired but the LS6 cam still has a few down points as well. The power curve is shifed up about 800-900 rpm at peak and 1200-1500 from down low. A good 2400+ stall converter would make a world of difference in drivability and ET. The LS6 cam is very nitrous freindly, good cylinder pressure and dramatic torque pick-up with low rpm use.
