Default Should I or Shouldn't I

Ok, the dyno day is on the 2nd and right now, I am back to stock with the new motor except for the pulley, 160* t-stat, and 1 in/2 out dynomax. My AS&M's just came in yesterday, so should I put all my stuff back on (Airraid, TBS, Taylor's, NGK's, HPPIII, N20, and the new exhaust setup, headers, x pipe, cutouts and Magnaflows) Or should I dyno as close to stock as I can. Then put the stuff on and wait for the next time ?

where are you getting your dyno done at? i would put everything back on accept the headers. then do it again at a later time. i was going to do it at "strickly performance" for $45. I think MTI wanted $75.

Dude, We have a dyno day at MTI on 3/2/02 for $35x2 pulls. I have one alt spot left, you want it? Check the Texas board under Dyno Day. Are you talking about Strickly Performance over by Hobby Airport ?

Stock Silverado 4.8L Dyno =

I say modify it as much as possible, and move your rev limiter up to 6400 rpm minimum

Tony, he'd have to have custom tuning to set the rev at 6400 on a truck. Hypertech tops out at 6200.

I'd say you need to put all of your mods back on. Get you money's worth out of it while you can.

Personally, seeing that the motor is new, I would be extremely curious on what numbers it could put out. When you say "Hey, that looks pretty good " is the time to go for the gusto. Just my opinion Greg

I say leave it as close to stock as possible. I will have my 5.3L out there with only a K&N filter. I need to have more HP than atleast one person.
