Yeah, where did that 10,000 number come from? The #282 moves 5500cfm and the #292 moves 4200cfm (IIRC)

i have never seen a figure for how much air the stock fan moves, but I would be interested if anyone knows it.

He was talking about the clutch fan moving that much air, not electric fans.

Default The cabin AC temp stays much cooler.........

.......when idling in the summer heat in stopped traffic or just parked. The efans pull much more air across the AC condenser at idle than the OE fan.
City gas milage improved about 2 mpg on my old 2003.

I'm interested in getting some fans for my stock 5.3. How many CFM should I go for. I've heard like 5000 or something. I live in Fl so in the summer it's very hot. If I got them I would probably get some ls1 fans. With gas 2+ a gallon I can use any extra MPG I can get.

I ran Flex-a-Lites 292's on my 2003 and they work great.

I read somewhere that the stock fan clutch only pulls like 5500 cfm. This could be wrong, I'm not a GM engineer nor a mechanic. Just thoght I read it somewhere.
