I just wanted to pep up the 4.8 before the swap and build I'd thought it be worth it at least it's my first 4.8l I've dealt with nothing but 5.3s and I wanted some experienced knowlage

Well it's a 4.8l you gotta spin it high to make power iv already got the 6.0 sitting in my garage and building that going all out on it don't wanna spend money on a 4.8l

They make something called a drop in truck cam that will work excellent. They are made to use the stock valve springs and stock pushrods.

If you want to do a cam do one of those, they are for trucks and use all the stock stuff except just swap the cam. They are $400

That's the only route worth going if you're gonna get into this. If not just save it for the 6.0


ORR put a little cheap 50 dry shot on the 4.8
