Factory ls6 camshaft
Hello I am looking for a foctory ls6 camshaft out of a 02-04 Vette zo6, iv searched everywhere online and they are $350+, Im looking to wake up a little 4.8l and if I'm spending $350+ I'd get and aftermarket cam. I'm looking to see if anyone can help me find a ls6 cam cheap!

Not to bust your bubble at all but I totally wouldn't. I had it in my turbo truck and liked it but on a 5.3 it didn't come on hard until 3500 which pretty much was when the rear mount went bat **** crazy too. It was a good mix with my converter and gears. I just think it will kill so much low end that you won't like it. I would do something else to pump up the low end and mid range with that baby motor. Thank you for you knowlage from you're experience, iv got LT and a 3200 stall on it now I know there wouldn't be much gain from that cam low end, that is why i want to find one cheap. I just don't want to spend the money on a 4.8l, I would much rather do it on a 6.0l but for the time being I wanna pep it up a bit.

The sloppy stage 2 is a decent size cam for a LS1, it's too big for a 5.3 in a truck and wayy wrong for a 4.8 in a truck.
The sloppy stage 2 is only like $20 cheaper than a far better matched summit cam, and requires more expensive valve springs than the cams summit offers to use the LS6 springs.
If you're gonna spend money there are many cams that would work better than the sloppy stage 2 for around the same money for all components.
If I had to guess I would say the sloppy cam would peak tq at around 5k or higher in your 4.8, and would feel like a dog even with your 3200 stall. It would peak right before you need to shift, it would feel like crap before peak, and it would be dog when it hit the next gear at near 3500-4000 rpm (depends on your shift points). Compared to a cam that's really making some power before and at that range. The driveability will be better and it will be a lot snappier.
I would do a truck cam ESPECIALLY with a 4.8. Sloppy cam is for cars, and for quite a bit bigger cube motors.

I agree on the Sloppy Stage II is to big for N/A 4.8
I have it in a LQ9 (6.0L) 3200 stall and 4.10 gears and it works ok with this combo. The cam card says "10.5 + compression only" and If I recall correctly the power range is 2500 to 6500. I've been looking at some truck specific grinds and may do that swap soon.
I'd guess average performance with just cam & headers,
kinda falls off hitting 3rd gear in the burnout, no brakes loading the converter,
just throttle and letting the trans do the shifting around 6000 RPM.
(later did some tweaking in the trans tables (Bluecat) It's now shifting at 6500)
