Default f/y-body intakes on a truck?

whats involved with putting an ls6 intake on a 5.3 truck motor? is it even possible?

It is possible. I've heard it is not worth it though because the stock truck 4.8/5.3 intake produces more torque across the entire band. Torque>Horsepower on the street.

yes it is possible it has been talked about quite a few times.....and people really do it cause the stock truck intake starts to choke itself at i belive somewhere around 6300 rpm or so.....people use the ls1 or ls6 intake if they plan in reving there engin out farther...

many people do it, i have heard it very worth it lately. you dotn have the problems with lean #7 and you keep making power pst 6000rpm too. you just swap out all your accessories for fbody accessories or depending on what year you have, you might have to make adjustments with your TB, water neck, alternator bracket.

i just now got my motor started with the ls1 intake..you will have to get all the camaro accessories..i bought an aftermarket ls1 fuel rails with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator...ls1 injectors connectors..im sure theres more..but if you have a stock cam its not going to help you..mainly if you plan on runnin high rpms is were this is gonna help ya

true about the high rpms. if you dont go passed 6000 or 6200 there isnt much use
