I have heard it has been done....any proof out there?

Some do and some don't. The Mac midlengths do and the Kooks do as well. Some people seem to get away without modifying anything and others have to do a bit of massaging of the primaries.

I have heard the Kooks fit. And that may be my route because they come in 1 7/8 primaries. Any pictures out there?

i have heard some have clearance issues with the kooks 1 7/8 primaries rubbing the steering shaft just slightly. not sure about the 1 5/8 though....

I have the QTP 1 3/4 long tubes on my truck from a ls1 F-body and they fit without a problem.
