I noticed the fans immediately. Mine were only 100 dollars. I would definitely recommend the swap. WAAAAY more room to work in there now. The fans help with power mainly on hot days, im in ms, so hot days happen a lot!lol

I didn't think it was all that big of a project so I didn't take any pics....the cold-air box was off of his wrecked '96 LT1 Firebird (I'm not sure if the LS1 box is any different but it looks the same to me) and was about as easy an install as you can ask for....the WHOLE thing only took me about an hour to complete.

You CAN tell that it's not from the factory that way but it looks pretty trick under the hood of an HD

This is the piece that matters for all of you interester...it's the piece that mounts over the radiator that the lid clips to:

You can see it's a pretty straightforward job of drilling the holes in the core support and bolting it down....I had to trim it a little bit to clear the hood latch but other than that it was almost plug-and-play

Here's the upper lid...clips right on and away you go:

Good luck.....

!!! MAJOR EDIT !!!

This is 100% my fault for not remembering this....my buddy's HD has it's hood pinned !!!, I trimmed the lower air-box around the hood latch mechanism so that if he ever swaps back he can use the stock hardware again....you CANNOT use the f-body airbox and the stock hood-latch mechanism together !!!!

Sorry for getting everybody excited......
