Here's a post reporting some numbers I saw with my HPP3:

quote:
Testing completed....
First off the HPP3 results:
The first three passes of the day were to get some solid baseline numbers.
Peak RWHP N/A: 278.2
Peak RWTQ N/A: 318.0
The next three passes were after HPP powertuning was installed. The power tuning for 93 octane was used along with 160* stat.
Peak RWHP N/A: 291.2
Peak RWTQ N/A: 325.4
Final analysis:
13 RWHP
7.4 RWTQ
The power was made evenly across the entire tested curve and even opens up some above 4700 rpm.
HPP3 = worthwhile mod

With the right shift point for your vehicle seeing 3 tenths is very believable. I think I went from 14.94 to 14.71 with just shift point adjustments (and this was with a more conservative +4, +8, +2 setting.) More ET could have been had with higher settings but I was also set for a nitrous pass later that day.

SO when you set up those shift points I assume you let the tranny shift its self? You selecting "3" on the shifter posistion? So 3 tenths with the HPP3 and maybe 2 with the FIPK and !mass air screen, maybe I will break 14.99 with low fuel.

horsepower wise, hpp3 made no difference in my truck...but the shift points are awesome...help tons. 1-2 is up 4(that's the most 4.8s with 3.42 rearends will pull) 2-3 is up 6 and 3-4 is up 17...and it pulls hard from third to fourth...and keeps pulling hard in fourth...it shifts into fourth at around 91 or 93

Ahh...so you DO have the HPPIII....You answered the question in my other post then.....
But yeah, the HPPIII's best highlight is the shift points. Those are what shave off the times.....

you must have a rebel motor and a top secret PPIII. Richards # s are about right with the shift pionts and the Dyno #s. .5 sec for $350 damn, it cost me a blower to drop 1.5 second and a bunch of other mods
