What diameter tires are you guys using with a 2/4" drop? I LIKE the trucks I have seen on here with the 2/4 and 18" with 285/50R18s. Still got a nice little gap in the fenders but not too much. I will be using 16X8" AR Pythons that are chrome that I already have on it. Using a formula, it looks like the 285/50R18s are 29.3" tall. This is overall diameter, not with weight on it. A 275/60R16 is about 29". But its about 1/2" more narrow. A 285/60R16 is about 29.5". And a 275/55R16 is about 28". I was thinking the 275/55s would work well and give me a little more gearing but I think the gap in the fenders would be a little too much. I haven't really tried any real measurements because the only truck around here is mine. Right now I have 265/70R16s and the formula says they should be 30.7" but on the truck measuring from the ground to the top of the tire they are 29.75". About 1" difference apparently between the formula and the loaded height. What all are you guys using? PICS?

I'm one of those guys with the 285/50/18 on a 3/4 drop. Just be careful on the offset of your wheels. Mine have a 5" backspace an d clear the front fender lip by about 1/4" when compressed.

/\ I am with fast4.8. I am running 285/50/18 on a 2/4 though. Looks just right if you ask me. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Reason I ask is I want to lower it now but I don't have enough $$ to buy the drop kit and tires, plus my tires still have atleast another 25k miles in em. They are 265/70R16 Michelin LTX somthins and they look about right at stock height but I am afraid with a 2/4 drop its gonna look ****** gay with 30" tires. There will only be like 1.5" gap in the front and maybe 2-2.5" in the rear. Actually they are measuring about 29.75" from the ground to the top of the tire, front and rear. Right now I have 6" of gap in the rear and 3.75" in the front. Think I could lower it and it still look good with these tires or wait and get new rubber and do it all at once? opinions?
