an 'exhaust'ing question.... harmonious power?

ok - so we all know that there's no 'perfect' exhaust for everyone...
I've read that the Corsa catback has the least drone of the setups, so is it possible to build an exhaust using similar components (i.e. same size muffler, etc) and place them in the stock exhaust where the Corsa has the same parts?
From my reading, the stock exhausts flow pretty well behind the cats, sans the muffler - it's just a matter of sound preference.
has anyone 'tuned' their exhaust for zero drone and best performance?

Resonators help take out the drone, but its all in how much your willing to pay. Trail and error cost money and time. How much do you wanna play with? I like the drone myself, and dumped my exhaust before the axle to get as much out of it as possable.
I would try replacing the factory muffler with the longest 3" you can get from magnaflow, then add a short one to the end to help out with drone. Or if you can score a ferrari muffler they have an internal bypass thingy that increases flow when needed.
HP= Loud one way or another.

I don't mind loud, I hate drone though... gives me and the passengers a headache. I'm thinking that some off-car engineering can be done, I guess getting some pics of what the systems look like both stock and aftermarket would be a good start...
here's a Corsa Touring Catback for a Denali, only 1 muffler - so it's got to be designed to keep the exhaust sound waves chambered properly in order to not have a resonator - and cancel the sound waves that cause drone

Borla with a totally different design

Magnaflow, with muffler & resonator

lots more, but would be good to see assembled pics and measurements
