Default Exhaust True and not true duals

ok im going to be getting long tube headers and wanted to hollow out my cats so they are straight through so if any looks under will think im still legal but idk if i have enough room thought about true duals and ive heard you can lose hp that way not enough back pressure i need alittle tow power and im want to get magna flow mufflers for it so is it a fact that true duals dont give you much hp as non trues thanks for your time

some people say you lose low end power...i've had both now. had long tubes with true duals on my last truck and on my new one we built a y-pipe for my new one...can't tell any difference. i like the sound of the true duals better

make sure you have a crossover pipe, as in a xpipe or a hpipe.

i wouldnt go over 2.5" duals unless you plan on a built 6.0 or boosted 6.0

Yep, I agree. I have a 3" Magnaflow (single-in/single-out) with 3" exit pipe behind my Dynatechs and I'm convinced I lost some low-end.

I run LT's with custom y-pipe and single 3" with High flow magnaflow cat and hooker aerochamber dumped right over the rear axle beside the spare. It sounds great nice and deep, not too loud when cruising but opens up at wot. And it doesnt drone at all. It held the low end and helped out the mid and upper. Wouldnt change a thing. ( exept for adding cutout before the cat!
