I thought I saw a truck on this forum or another a while back that had dual exhaust linked together? I am not sure if I added an X-pipe it would do anything, so I think if I dumped it farther back it might help, or if I can find some nice tips that would be nice.

Check out moregrip's exhaust. I would do what the other guys talked about....go over the rear axle and dump it at the bumper with some turn downs or just dump it behind the tires.

Any FI motor will have a louder exhaust because you are forcing in a lot of air at a faster pace--hence, making more air come out a faster pace=louder exhaust. Take the tailpipes out back somewhere. Even if you can't find tips you like, tuck the tailpipes under the rear fascia/bumper somewhere. 3' of tailpipe will quiet that thing down...

Get a couple dynomax bullets to mellow it out.

I installed my pacesetter LT's about a month ago and it definately improved the sound, i had 3 inch daul exhaust before i installed them and it made it alil guitter and a smoother a together. my tips exit behind each rear tire at an angle

[QUOTE=01Blue4.8]I don't know what you're talking about it being too loud. I ran my pacesetters open header this weekend when I installed them and I thought it should've been louder.
[QUOTE]

personally it was to loud, it sounded kinda lik an old muscle car but still to loud. i drove it lik this for about 1 1/2 miles to the exhaust shop...

Mine was loud with LT's, Dynomax Bullet and Borla Xr-1 3" ending before the bed. Was header, Y-pipe, Bullet,Muffler. no other piping. Added 4ft of pipe as soon as i could find a bender and made a HUGE HUGE difference in how loud it was. Except now i think i wana take the bullet off to add more sound.
I'm with the others, Put in an X-pipe and then take it back as far as you can and then dump it.
