Default exhaust question, cheap temporary system

Hi guys, I wont have much to spend on my truck for awhile at least until its paid off. I was wondering if i got a muffler from magnaflow, flowmaster etc that was 2 in and then 2 out to replace the stock one, then just put 2 slanted tips pointing downward on the outlets. how that would work. I am basically just looking for an aggressive sound and to not lose hp. gains would be a bonus. In a year or so i want to buy a good system.

IMO save your money for a corsa exhaust. If you want an exhaust that loud. Magnaflow makes a good muffler if your looking for a good muffler also hooker aerochambers r good as well.

The muffler choice depends on your personal preference, but Magnaflow and Flowmaster are both very popular. The purpose of turn down tips is to aviod blowing the hot exhaust directly on something like a shock or the rear differential. You will want to add some sort of crossover pipe between the two cylinder banks, preferably before the muffler for best hp/tq. Look into X pipes or H pipes.

Default NO flowmasters

Trust me DO NOT put the flowmasters on your truck. The resonation will be unbearable. I agree that you should just save your money and buy a Corsa or if you really need something for now get a Flo-Pro installed that is a direct facorty replacement(don't remember the number) You can get one installed for less than 200.

I have one vote for Flo-Pro muffler.

Any suggestions guys, I want least resonance, a low rumble when idleing and a nice sound when accelerating that isnt stupid loud unless you hammer on it. What is a good all around replacement muffler?
