Don't just conform and pay it.

Get a court date and go before the judge! If you have all the paper work you should be good to go on the noise. The taillights my be different you might have to pay it. Were they actually out???

In the mean time I would aleast get the truck legal before the court date. Even though they may not even look at it then. And don't drive the truck up to the court house unless it within the law. If you have to take pictures of the truck and show the judge as well.

Oh im definetly fighting it, and im not driving my truck to the court house haha. Luckily I dont have to appear in front of a judge right away, but in front of the majestrate first. Ive fought both tickets ive gotten and the actual trooper has never shown up but someone else from the state police do come. I should be covered on the taillights i think too, a local cop my buddy talked to said to take pics of the taillights working so i did on my phone so I can show it to them. Also one of my buddies that i went out bar hopin with that night is a local cop and saw it so i have his word too. Hopefully all goes well, but wont know prob for three months because MA is sooo slow at proccessing citations. Ill have quote on quote "high flows" on there in a mo. or so anyways.

I got pulled over doing 25 in a 40 the other night. He told me my taillights weren't working, but mysteriously started working when he pulled me over. The truck had no muffler at that point, but I shut the truck off in gear so it would never get loud at all.

He apologized and walked away.

So I looked at some bullet type mufflers, I know a lot of guys are running dynomax bullets, how well do they really work? Also looked at PYPES M-80's and Moroso spiral mufflers, anybody have experiance with these??

I just bought the smallest cherry bomb extreme they have. Truck sounds no different then straight pipe but now it's not mind blowingly loud. The muffler is 6 inches long, 4 inches thick and 9 inches wide. I get one complement a day on this truck now. At it is a rusted out hunk with a stock motor.

I got pulled over in my 70 chevelle in Leominster Mass a while ago and got a ticket for load exhaust. I fought it and one..There used to be a guy in Leominster that would pull you over if he say that you alter your exhaust in any way other then stock.. He now works behind a desk. Bring all of the paper work you got.. U shouldn't have any problem.. I know that when I go to see my buddy in Plymouth Ma, he always tells me to keep the truck quite in certain areas.. I don't listen and I hit the open cutout switch.LOL

part number 7428, sounds exactly the same as it did with no muffler, only not as loud. I am really pleased with it.
