Default Exhaust Opinion!!!

Ok guys I am going to redo my exhaust. Previuos exhaust setup was cut out cats and weld in borla. Ordered pacesetter long tubes and y pipe. ok front part taken care of. Now what should i do for the rest.
Option 1. Weld current cat back to y pipe.
Option 2. redo all catback with 3in pipe and reuse borla.
Option 3. 3 in pipe and new muffler?
Option 4, 5, 6? I am open to opinions.

side note: i like a really quiet exhaust. If possible no rasp or drown

I would do option #1 and weld in a 3"cutout before the borla just to use at the track...

yeah have thougth about the true dual with maganflows, friend of mine has that and it sounds good. I think it might be overkill for an N/A truck like mine though

I have a 2.25 true dual system with magnaflow high flow cats and magnaflow mufflers, with 3.5 tips, i also have hooker comp. headers, but i recieved a noticable performance gain, and have a decent sound. I definantly wouldnt go with any thing over 2.50 inch pipe though, or yes, that would be overkill.

I am leaning towards havinglong tubes connect to y pipe, then run 3in pipe to my borla and then redo the tailpipe in 3 in and dump off after the axle. How loud do you guys think it is going to be or should I do saomehting else? Open to any opinions/ suggestions!

i'm going that same route, pacesetters, their ypipe, and then use a cutout after y, then single 3 inch exhaust all the way back with a magnaflow 5x8. i to want it quiet this time around. the cutout will work out for track use.

Since Pacesetter FINALLY started making LT's for the 4x4's I'm looking forward to re-doing my exhaust. Currently I have manifolds to factory Y to a 3" electric cut-out into a 3" Bulletmuffler into a 4x9x11 Magnaflow dumped behind the rear axle. It sounds great. loud outside, really quiet inside. Much better than just the Magnaflow turned out infront of the pass tire. I think single 3" would be the way to go, but thats just my $.02. It sounds great. loud outside, really quiet inside

Well i just bought a set of pacesetter LT's. I havent decided if i want to use their Y-pipe yet or if im going to use 2.5" duals.

If i go duals, i will run: Pacesetter LT's, 2.5" duals with no cats, magnaflow X-pipe, maybe cutouts and then either the hooker aerochambers, dynomax bullets, borla XR-1's, SLP resonators or the short magnaflows dumped. I want something stainless that will never rust.

If i use the y-pipe, i will run: Pacesetter LT's, O/R Y-pipe, 3" cutout, back to a single in 3" muffler dumped.

I havent decided between using duals or the y-pipe. I y-pipe would be much easier cause its pre-fabed but the duals would be different cause almost everyone runs the y-pipe. The duals will probably cost more since it would be a custom system but i just cant decide which would be the better route to take.

I also havent decided on which mufflers to use yet. All of the ones i have listed i have been told sound good with an O/R midpipe setup but i am trying to figure out which would be the most aggressive of the bunch. I want something loud, mean and aggressive and i want it to also perform well.

I know what u mean. But I decided to go with the y pipe, even though i did play around the idea of true duals. but i already ordered the lt and y pipe. So know i need to finisht he exhaust. So everyone says to use a cutout sounds like i should use it, for fun mostly. But I want something quiet for everyday use.
