Exhaust Drone??
#1
well, i took the pipes over the axle and out the back friday, but i still have a really annoying drone from 1900 rpm - 2100 rpm's...which occurs very often cruising on the highway at speed.
i have attached an artists rendering of my exhaust setup.... please take a gander and offer advice...although i am afraid it may just be a Flowmaster problem, i am open to any good advice..
set up LT's, no cats, true duals through x-pipe, dual 40 series Flow's, and over the axle-out the back.
thanks.

I see your the next PiCasso...... I had flowmasters on my old truck and straight pipes on this one....It's normal. 40 series are very loud and it's normal.Wait til you take a vacation....I drove mine from Florida to Illinois....13 hours at 2200rpm with the straight pipes!

After trying all kinds of exhaust set-ups I finally went with a Corsa.Should have went with it the first time. Now they are making smaller mufflers that you can place right where your flow's are.Straight through design and no DRONE.

I have a magnaflow X muffler [2.5 in 2.5 out] that you can have for $20.00 shipped.Place it where your X is now,it will reduce some of the drone. It is also a straight through design. It has about a 1000 miles on it.

Believe me the price tag is worth it. I spend over $600 for my Corsa catback and it was worth it. Loud when you want it, quiet when you dont.
