Default Exhaust Cut Outs

I have been liking the cut outs idea since sometimes i want my truck to be loud and obnoxious and sometimes i just want to chill and cruise without any drone. it looks like electric cut outs are priced around $450 - $500 which is too much.
A) has anyone seen significantly cheeper E-cut outs?

if not, i was thinking about getting some with the manual lever to pull, but instead of routing the lever into the cab (too ghetto looking inside cab for me), i was thinking about routing it underneath the truck but somewhere to the side that i can just reach under and grab real easy

B) any thoughts on this idea

C) Where can the cut outs go without worrying about throwing a code? or is there a 'right spot' for them?

D) With a very mildly modded 5.3L, (intake/tune), is the cut out going to help performance / gas mileage or hinder it due to lack of back pressure?

thanks for any help

i saw your reasoning for why you put your cut outs post cat, but would i need to do this in order to avoid throwing a code?

what exactly does your 02 sensor do? i know it measures the density of the 02 but whats the point?

and lastly, having the cut outs installed, but not open, looks like it would restrict some air flow...is this true? significant?

will any codes be thrown if a cut out is used right after where the Y comes together? (so it would be after cats) without any o2 sensor/simulator??

I installed one cut out behind the y pipe and behind the post cat sensors. No codes. Street Pro cut out has the superior design.. imo. Google it.

Dropkick13.. I think the mental picture you have of a cut out is backwards as a cut out does not restrict air flow. A cut out just lets the exhaust escape the pipe when the cut out is open and when it's closed the exhaust travels along it's normal path.

I don't know that I've improved the performanc much but it's fun.

i havent seen the street pros but they are the same thing as a butterfly cutout which lose their seal over time.
