Default Everyone inside.

So okay when i had my blower on my old truck and was ahving problems a lot of guys were liek you should just done a head and cam setup on the 6.0 with a 125 shot...so okay now i have a truck with a 4.8 and i have and lq4 sititing in my garage....so what head and cam setup should i run? im clueless on which route to go?....

my goal: 12s on motor 11s on nitrous. is that to much to ask for? its a rcsb....i dont mind having a very aggressive setup im not looking for anythign to tame as far as a cam goes...so ill just list some supporting mods im giong to have and maybe u guys can help me out.
-eaton posi.
-2/4 or 4/6 drop
-cal tracs
-stall between 3200-3800 depending on what u guys reccomend.
-Dr's on some denali wheels and et streets on my stocks
-ASM LT's
-Flexa- lite fans
-Hp tuners
-42lb injectors
-magnaflow
-possibly qa1's

Looks like a combination simillar to what Slowprocess has, and he has been 12.54 with his and only mild head work. I would go with a simillar cam and a set of GTP heads and be shooting for 12.2x or so on the motor. There are a bunch of good options as far as heads go, but there are some F-body's around here with heads (GTP) and cam only running real, real strong (low 11's on the motor and better!). Their customer service is good to, and they will spend a ton of time talking to you and helping you with the specifics. You should be able to spray that down to a 11.5x no problem. I wouldn't go much higher than 3000 or 3200 on the converter, especially since you are going to be fighting traction.

yeah ive seen some of those fbody's low 11s would be great but i would need some real power cuz id have to convert to the 80e and then over come that powersucking tranny wiht even more power

And that was on an open diff!!

Do you still want it to pass the oppressive Califronia smog?

smog isnt a big concern....for every **** there is 3 krooked ****'s....

i would say some TEA AFRs and instead of cal tracs, do the 4-link w/coil overs. everything else you have on that list looks good to me

about how mcuh would u say your 4 link was including coil overs ect...complete? is it a kp 4 link? how about a cam and what else am i goign to need with that cam?
