Welp, it seems like with my Mineralogy class, I have to stay up all night every Wednesday night. There are 11 tests in this class and tomorrow marks number 4. Im sooo damn tired of this class already. Crystalography SUX!!! I seem to have a test every Thursday until the end of the semester. Oh and get this; sometimes the professor doesnt even tell us that we have a test that day!

With that being said, i walked over to the fridge about a half an hour ago and realized that it was slightly warm inside. I open the freezer portion and there is liquid condensation all over everything. The ice is melting and the liquor bottles are forming ice on the outside. I check the breaker-good...flip it off then on for ***** and giggles, pull the plug behind it and check it with the volt/ohm meter...its reading a solid 119v. Thats right folks, the damn thing went out. I drive to the store and buy 4, 20lb bags of ice. I get home and the sunuva bitch decides to turn on. Mind you, before i left, i opened the freezer door for a good while to make sure it didnt kick back on. So now i have a little over 6 bucks (80 ******* lbs) of ice sitting in my icechest on the front porch. Nothing like pissing away more money and wasting time. All of that ice could have been a 6 pack to drown my sorrows after bombing this ******* test tomorrow...i mean today.

So here i sit, with a cup (already killed half of a full pot) of coffee, some tracing paper, stereogram and my notes. Me and some Crystalographic axes are gonna get real intimate today baby!!!!!!!

Im never taking 17 hours again as long as I live. I havent slept well since Saturday night and later today I have my lady friend coming over. I dont know how Im going to be chipper for movie night after not sleeping.

the navy ran out of money before the end of the fiscal year so there giving us a 3 day weekend

Thanks. Ill have a cold 4 or 5 at the bar right after Geophysics. We always go get beer and burgers on thursdays after class. It helps the week go by.

 

I don't miss those parts of college. Well, maybe some of it.

 

Bummer about the fridge Beau. You're gonna be a great Rock Doctor. At this pace you'll have the drinking part down pat. Hang in there!

Grah I know what you're going through Beau. I spent the majority of my night(s) this week configuring some cisco routers and servers then "simulating" a corporate environment deployment of SMS...There's nothing like sitting in front of a computer for 8 hours, then going home to work on computers for class for another 6 hours+

Can't wait to graduate and be DONE with school.

Im happy because it still works. I wont have to spend money i dont have on a new fridge. They say at A&M, you major in drinking and minor in geology. Im beginning to see how true it is. I have yet to meet a geology or geophysics major that doesnt have a vice....except me.
