Default Escalade engine dies after turning.

hey guys,

2003escalade's engine is turning off after turning corner with misfire. could this be due to cheap plugs. i had to put some cheap *** plugs, cuz they didnt have AC delco iridium. i'm assuming it's cuz of plugs.
what ya'll think? plugs, loose engine ground?
thanks

if it turns over at all, then it's not a loose ground, but i've been wrong before. it could be a faulty wire or bad plug. if it's just one bad plug or wire then it should start, but just run like ****.

If the plugs and moved wires were the only things that have changed in the condition of your vehicle....... then you either have a bad plug wire/connection, improper plug gap, or crappy plugs......imo

i had a plug wire arching on the passenger side every time i use to make a left had turn and the motor would roll towards the passenger side. so i guess it was number 8 wire. best way to check if its a wire from what ive read in the past is to pop the hood when its dark and have somebody rev it up and looking for wire arching...just my .02

Find someone near you who has HPT or EFILive and hook up their scanner and take a drive, it will tell you what is wrong with the engine. Could be a number of things; you could determine which cylinder(s) are shorting out, you could find out if it is a fuel pump, leak in the intake/exhaust, etc or, more than likely, a combination of problems.

i changed the wires, and the same thing happens. putting the car in D or R drops the RPM's to under 500. and 3 outta 10 times the car will shut off. no check engine codes at all. anyone have an idea what i can do to diagnose the prob??

dont have wideband on that car. it's mild tune with exhaust with CAI. it has been there for about 3 yrs. i found out that CAI pipe was loose little bit. put it back in much as possible.. i'll try to clean throttle body little bit well as air filter. hope that fix the problem. after changing plugs and wire it runs little better, old plugs looks very lean....as soon as i put load on engine RPM drop under 500. and sometime it RPM will jump on park as well. could this be related to MAF?
thanks

It could be the maf.... When you clean the filter, also clean the maf with electronic spray cleaner or rubbing alcohol and a q-tip.
