Default Engine swap, transmission fluid leaked out

Is it normal for some transmission fluid to leak out of the front of the transmission while removing the motor from the truck?

If the dip stick tube was removed and the tranny tilted enough it would leak out. If the tranny were kept relatively level and it leaked out chances are it was over filled.

Last time it was filled was by GM when they replaced the tranny for me, but yea, we tilted it a bit.

Thanks,

yeah, as Ky said, not much should come out if any. when you remove the diptube while pulling the motor you leave a big hole for the fluid to leak through, the level isn't far below that level so if it isn't kept level the fluid will come out.
