Default Engine swap, SORT OF?

I have a 2001 silverado with a 6.0.
I am looking to get a little more out of it when I replace it. (somewhat soon, just turned 200K)
I want to replace it with a 6.0 from a newer year and or model to hopefully get more HP!
Will any of the newer years/models plug right in with little or no mods needed to the computer, harness, or other components?
What is the best and/or easiest combo?
THANX

Is there a chart somewhere that shows what will plug right in and what mods are needed to complete the swap?
6.0 to 6.0 and/or 6.0 to 6.2?

do search on this mostly its the intakes return style fuel vs returnless you should be able just to swap over youre intake system now...most sensors plug right up I think some years had a difffernt crank senor but you could use the one of the old 6.0...as far as power goes you could hop up any 6.0 to do what you want , 317 heads are good, 706 if ou want higher compression ...you might just want to rebuild youre current set up ....cam it . larger ingectors, tune ...LTs , stall if needed could be small and go

the crank sensor changed to 58x at some point, however, i dont think there was many improvements on the 6.0 besides the lq9 and the new style intake. If you do use a 58x crank trigger engine, Im pretty sure Lingerfelter sells a conversion module to make it a 24x signal.

That 58x to 24x part number is L460065397. I think they call it Lingenfelter TRG-001
I had to get one for my ly6 project.
