I have yet to really check it out since I live in Europe. He sent me this pic of it though. Can't you just use a 1x LS2 gear for front cam pickup from a GTO instead of getting the converter box? I think its an 2006 (L33) 5.3L from looking at the pic for the last few minutes though... So it will be Gen III to Gen III.

If you are having it shipped make sure you get pics of the cylinder walls or find a way to just see it in person.

Yes, you can use a LS2 gear, you would only need the converter box if it were a GENIV block with the 58x reluctor on the crank

That is my dad standing behind it in the pic. He checked it out and everything. It is a 2006 L33. It has an F-body oil pan on it but that was only because the guy who we bought it from was going to put it in his Turbo Camaro but he ran out funds before the project was finished. Hence the reason why we picked it up for a decent price.

It has a '02 LS6 cam in it. We are going to throw some 241 heads on it with some GM mls gaskets. We will probably just use all of his truck stuff unless I can find an LS1 intake from somewhere cheap. Like I said the truck tows a camper, a boat, and my TA sometimes. He tows the camper once a month usually.

Any other suggestions or things to prepare for?
