Default engine swap

Im looking into swapping my 5.3 in my 2000 silverado to a 6.0. Is it worth the money or should i just build the 5.3. And how hard of a swap is it?

no i wouldnt swap your 5.3 for a 6.0!

if your looking for more performance try swapping in a 4.8, they have much more torque than the 5.3 or the 6.0

ohh, and the 4.8 will be a direct swap! much easier than a 6.0 swap. the dimensions are totally diff on the 6.0.

just to help you out, the lower the liter #, the more cubes. thats how gm made these motors.

hope this helped...

Not bein a smart ***. But thats a common sense question, thats like asking if a cam will help your 5.3. Every other thread here talks about 6.0s. If you search, You will find those answers.

OUCH guys. Ryan what kind of power and torque are you looking for? If you want just a bit more ummphh then you could easily get it out of your 5.3. A set of long tube headers a full exhuast and a good tune can go a long way, and the exhaust would work well with a 6.0 if you went that route in the future.
