Default Engine oil coolers

I am really happy with my Hayden transmission rapid cooler, and I got them to send me a catalog. I was looking and saw the engine oil coolers. I was wondering if anyone has one or if you think it would be worth it for our engines. And if you need any part numbers for any Hayden product for any vehicle let me know... Thanks.
EDIT I just looked closer and noticed they don't make a kit for our trucks yet. But I do know you can buy the factory oil cooler from the HDs. Would it be a good idea to do this?

The factory oil coolers are integrated into the radiator and come standard with 3.73 and up rearends. My HD also has an additonal tranny cooler up front after it goes through the one in the radiator on the passenger side.
I say cool is good and the aftermarket oil coolers are a cheap way to extend the viscosity life of the oil. I would do it.

Yes I was talking about the engine oil. I do have a transmission cooler too though. I don't think you can get a factory oil cooler on a half ton, but I searched on yahoo and found a guy who had added a factory one from an HD truck to his LS1. It turns out even the LS1 has the proper holes, they are just plugged up. Does anyone think this would be worth doing or does our oil stay cool enough by itself? Thanks for your replys L82 and graygmc. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Yep, I was talking about the engine oil cooler as well. It is integrated in the driver side of the radiator just like the tranny cooler is in the passenger side (at least on the HD's). My '98 silverado was the same way. The little two row cooler in the front, drivers side, is a power steering fluid cooler on the HD's. Up till '98 if your truck had 3.73 or 4.10's, it had this engine oil cooler. Not sure about the new body style whether you get this or not.
You are right, the holes are in the block already and just covered with a blank off. Somebody's got to have a aftermarket cooler that will bolt up. Maybe they do for the camero's that could be adapted with some hose work.

Sorry L82 that I misunderstood your first post. Thanks for the info. I might have to get one of these things.
