Maybe I don't understand what you mean but what is pulling the intake going to do for you?

He may be thinking of the older sbc's...

tmayhew, the heads must be removed to access the lifters on a GENIII

Ya i pulled the head, found the problem, lifters are fine it was an exhaust gasket. It just blew so no carbon on the head. Felt the exhaust and no exhaust coming out . The fiber got blown off the gasket leaving the metal gasket, its like blowing air into a bottle, to much air no noise, to little no noise, but at around 1550 RPM the sound appeared, now im dead in the water waiting on a head gasket, everybody i talk to either doesn't have them or they will be here in a week.
Thanks for helping though next time im looking as header gaskets first.

Sorry to hear about that. Call up SDPC and have one overnited if you need it in a rush. I'm sure they have one in stock.
