OP, same with mine, started using ratchet, BAM they were toast!

Took the truck to my exhaust guy to make my y-pipe fit and he was saying how I can really mess up the motor if I blew a gasket. Could end up "tuliping the valve and loosin a cylinder or two" needless to say I think he's gunna get the bolts out for me but I'm sure it's gunna cost me. I hate when people say it would have been cheaper if you came to me first.

I have the back bolt on the driver's side broken off flush with the head. I use orange RTV on the gaskets and have to change them every 30000 miles or so. I am on my third set (100,000 miles).... No tuliping the valve or whatever. I'd try the RTV and if it doesn't leak, it should be fine.

some times if there broken and theres a nub left on them i weld a piece of straight steel on it and build the bead up around it cautious of the heads but almost always works
