Default Electric Fans gains

I have been debating on wether to install electric fans in my '04 Silverado for some time now. I think it is basically the last "bolt-on" I would do (I know I could do an underdrive pulley). I do have a Wait4Me tune but it has been some time since I purchased it and I am not 100% sure if I asked them to have the electric fans option turned on. My question is this: would it be possible for me to use '01-'04 Impala fans instead of the LS1 fans? I plan on using the 3-Relay Nelson Harness to run the fans. Also, what type of gains would I see with the mods I have in my sig? Thanks.
