Default Electric fan upgrade

I want to convert to electric fans on my truck. Does anybody know what the GM part# is or a good aftermarket piece I could check out?

PM DLH2006 for the harness. Buy a set of LS1 fans. You'll need the PCM tuned to turn it on.

There are several different options for electric fans/harnesses/tuning for the fans, use the search feature on the site.

I bought my 05+ fans on ebay for about $250 as I recall. Then I got the nelson fan harness and had them activate my ecu to turn it on.

I will say that the a/c at idle/in town is improved due to the better airflow, whereas before when I sat at idle for a while I'd need to rev up to 1500-1800 to get enough air moving for the a/c to work.

or you can get flexalite stuff. Use the vsc and not have to do a tune. BUT, VSC is garbage...so get a flex a lite kit, nelson or DLH harness, and tuwen the computer

Not on 1999-2002 models you can't. 2003-2004 can simple enable the E-Fans with a simple flash of the computer. The pins required to operate the e-fans (lo and hi speed) on 2005+ models are not used on 2003-2004 models. 1999-2002 models use the pin to command the hi fans to come on, for the HVAC control ... the pin used to command the lo speed e-fans is not used on these early models. So for those trucks it is not as simple (unless you just tap into the A/C enable). Also, it is not adviseable to flash a newer file to an older ECM, there could be compatability issues.

I can just go into the program with my CMR program and upload it with my predator. I jsut needed the PN for the fans or a good aftermarket choice.

That's a sweet setup you got there. Thanks for the pic.

Sorry, I was addressing the post right above mine.

Have you looked in the Part Number sticky in the GM General Discussion section?
