EGR removal or block off
#1
What kind of negative effects, if any, would I have by removing or blocking the EGR after the valve on my 99 5.3L?
Is there anything I can do at home with little or no cost to boost performance on my truck?

For little or no cost, some people believe that the EGR tube that sticks into the throttle body is an obstruction and trim it down so it is out of the way. You just unhook it from the tb and cut some off. If you pull your EGR completely, you will need to get a tuner to remove the EGR from your computer or else you will have emissions codes.
