that expansion plug is a good idea. I have a freeze plug sealed by black rtv silicone and your idea looks much better. If my nitrous noids weren't in the way I would change it up.

you can avoid the CEL is you block off all of the ports and everything but leave the assembly stilll plugged into the harness and everything. i drove like that for a week or so and never threw a code

just got done with the egr bullshit i used the rubber plug and i cant belive how good it fit and how good it looks with that and the other stuff out of there.

so all i have to do is block off the intake port and the exhaust port and i am done. i had that tube that goes from the exhaust to the intake burn up a couple wires because it was so hot. so do i not have to tune it out now if i block it?

you have to tune it out if you want to be able to remove that whole ugly assembly, but if you are cool with just blocking it off and leaving it bolted to your block and wired up then you shouldnt have to worry about deleting anything in the tune
