Default efilive and ls1edit?

ordering some tuning software this week so i can get the truck dialed in. what all do i need? i just got a new sony vaio w/ windows xp home edition. was looking at the new efilive v6 and ls1edit. should that work?

was just looking at the efilive V6 again. do i need the standard or professional license? whats the difference?

I have EFI Live versin 6 professional. That comes with the bi-directional controls which allows you to make temporary changes like TC lock up. It actually came with version 5 of EFI Live, so you have to email efilive.com and submit the license and registration codes to get version 6 to work. It also came with ATAP.
I think the bi-directional controls is the difference between standard and pro.

You'll need a 9pin serial port or something to convert a usb to that. I don't think the cheap converters work though. Maybe Parish or XLR8NSS can chime in, I can't remember what the good one is called.
