Roll the dice when you buy cheapy stuff.. None the less it has been a issue, there are some threads floating around, about brackets people have made that hold them wires away from the tubes, so they do not burn.. Just do a search for it

If you have MSD wires, they bend, trust me. Im on my 2nd set and I had to bend them out of the way of the headers.

I actualy had one of my boots barely touching on one of my runners so i took it off and sanded it down on the belt sander so it wasnt touching.

You burning them by the primary hump? Some guys have made some cool little metal brackets and bolted them to the head, while others have used zip ties, and some use the sleeves that slide over the wires, this has been a problem for years since Dynatech had that design, and is easily remedied
