Default Eaton Q's

for some reason i thought i read that Eaton Posi doesn't work at speeds greater than 20 MPH. mine seems to work all the time. i have been breaking the tires loose at 40-50 in 2nd gear due to the wet roads but my rear end fishtails like crazy. it never used to fishtail like that with the open differential. so this makes me believe that the posi it working at greater speeds. what is the real answer

The stock g80 type unit is the one that unlocks. The aftermarket Eaton is full time posi!

How would the eaton hold up with 500 rwhp through it? Is it capable, or would you need to switch to something better, maybe a bigger rear end all together?

Well there are a couple of guys here with a stock rear end, and just an eaton, that are running in the 12's with 500hp or more, with no problems that I have heard from them.
