Default eaton magnacharger bower question

just thinking. Doesn't the old sidemount magnacharger use the eaton M90 blower? Isn't that the same blower that the GTP uses. Couldn't you get a rebuilt Eaton M90 off ebay (there are thousands of them on ebay) and then buy all of the mounting and other accessories from Magnacharger and make your own old school magnacharger for less than half the price. Would it work. Just wondering.

Well with all the work you would have to do IMO it would be easier to just order the Radix rather than creating your own. But your right there is a ton of em on ebay so you could get a good deal on one and rebuild it if you wanted too.

The M90 off of the GTP and the M90 that was used on the sidemount magnacharger are two different housings. You would be better off getting the newer RADIX system for your truck.

I think hes refering to price being a factor also. If he is talking about half price on a older system, thats is nowhere near the range of a RADIX.

Very true, but it seems as if the RADIX would be more effective than the old side mount M90.

Understood, but if you get down to it the savings would not be worth it. If you are looking for a side mount set up, check ebay they come up all the time for around 2gs.
